📑 TDLR Requirements for Project Registration

Update: TDLR Notice:

 

“All registered projects will now require the County Appraisal District (CAD) number and the CAD document to be uploaded to TABS. Along with the CAD number and document, the Limited Liability Ownership (LLO) form will be required to be completed in full and uploaded to TABS when the building owner is a Limited Liability Corporation (LLC), Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) or Limited Partnership (LP). With an LLC, LLP or LP, a copy of the Articles of Formation (AOF) or copy of the Texas Secretary of State (SOS) document must also be uploaded.


The above documents must be available for upload at the time of registration OR at the time of updating an existing project. Please be prepared with the correct required documents to upload to avoid delays.


WARNING: False or misleading information provided when submitting registration forms or project information to the Department is a violation of Texas Administrative Code 68.12(e).”

Summary (What This Means for You)

 

  • CAD Number & Document: Every project must include the property’s County Appraisal District (CAD) number and supporting CAD documentation.
     
  • Ownership Documentation:
     
  • If the owner is an LLC, LLP, or LP, a completed Limited Liability Ownership (LLO) form is required.
     
  • You must also upload either the Articles of Formation (AOF) or the Texas Secretary of State (SOS) certificate.
     
  • Timing: These documents must be uploaded at the time of registration or when updating an existing project in TABS.
     
  • Role of the Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS): Your RAS will need these documents to process the project. The RAS can also assist in uploading them to the TABS project file on your behalf once you provide the required paperwork.
